I recently appeared on the Pulse Network’s Market Science Video segment talking about Agile Marketing, and Allan Bonde, their CMO and the host of the Inbound Marketing Summit, asked me to articulate the elevator pitch for Agile Marketing.  It didn’t quite clock in at 60 seconds, but it’s still a pretty concise explanation of Agile Marketing.

Jim Ewel

I love marketing. I think it’s one of the most difficult and one of most exciting jobs in any company. My goal with this blog is to evangelize agile marketing and help marketers increase the speed, predictability, transparency, and adaptability to change of the marketing function.

Hi Jim. thanks for the great video. I just stumpled upon your blog, but I should have come earlier.
I do “Marketing Scrumbut” since a bit over a year and I apply all of these 5 principles, which I took from the agile development principles. I can tell you, that work is done more efficiently and results are better achived and also more transparent. One point is to rely on data and we made our own KPI to measure, if we are on the right track. That’s how Marketing is fun.

Maybe you are interested, how exactly I do the “Scrumbut” in Marketing? Would love to have an information exchange.

+1 on interest in hearing about Chris’ methods. I’m in the process of selling in the idea of an Agile marketing framework at my new company and hungry for ideas.

any chance on a short update about the outcome of your idea’s exchange with Chris?

    Thanks!

      Chris,

We haven’t yet been able to connect. We set one time, but I got the time zone wrong between here and Vietnam (forgot that they don’t observe daylight savings time), and I’ve been so busy that I haven’t rescheduled. Will let you know when we connect.

    Hey Jim,

Perhaps you could set up an agile marketing Slack group? I’m developing an agile marketing framework and I would love to connect and share thoughts. Would also be keen to hear Chris’ story.

    Cheers

    George
